A Quick Way to Learn http://tenderbytes.net/rhymeworld/tatereye/skinny/quickway.htm Too Much Bull http://tenderbytes.net/rhymeworld/tatereye/skinny/2muchbul.htm Good Boy? http://tenderbytes.net/rhymeworld/tatereye/skinny/goodboy.htm A few issues back (not as far back as the Skinny Rowland issue) I'd wished you good bye by saying Khuda Hafeez. Chris Papa of Partners-in-Rhyme (http://www.netlabs.net/hp/doxite/partnersinrhyme/) had replied: Of your salute, I'd ne'er a hint, Its goodness effulges with glint, So I'd return call, To one and to all, And leave you with a "Sei Gesind!" [pronounced "zy gezint"] (That's an old Yiddish farewell to "stay healthy".) To which I'd added: If Yiddish good bye is 'Stay Healthy' Americans might say "Stay Wealthy" And many a rat when greeting a cat Might venture "May the Lord Bell Thee"! ;-) Best Wishes, Gunjan Saraf Your Humorous Poetry WZ-ard |
