I enjoyed Linda's poems,
Thought with them another week we'd stay,
But then I had forgotten,
It's JRR Tolkien's Birthday today."

This week we celebrate Tolkien's birthday

During the days of Middle-Earth,
Your wz-ard was asleep I fear,
So his Old English isn't upto date,
But let's see if he get's it right ... "Fægen Niwe Geare !"

(According to an online word by word translator,
that should read Happy New Year in Modern English)
