Hi Friends,

Reporter: What is your belief in God? Are you a Christian?
Dylan: Well, first of all, God is a woman, we all know that.
Well, you take it from there. (Austin Interview, 1966)

Here are some of the interviews with Bob Dylan which I mentioned
in the first part of trilogy on Dylan. Remember, the interviews
chosen are when he was a brash young boy of 20 something.

S.W.: Why did you laugh at the start of "Bob Dylan's 115th Dream"
on your LP?
Dylan: I don't remember... well, wait a bit... yeah... somebody
entered the studio disguised and looking like my mother. Yes,
that was it. I just started laughing. (Copenhagen Interview, 1966)

Henshaw: Can you tell me when and where you were born?
Dylan: No, you can go and find out. There's many biographies
and you can look to that. You don't ask me where I was born, where
I lived. Don't ask me those questions. You find out from other
papers. (Laurie Henshaw Interview, 1965)

To wind up this issue...

Q: Some American folk singers -- Carolyn Hester, for example --
say that what you're now doing, the new sound, "folk rock," is
liberating them.
A: Did Carolyn say that? You tell her she can come around
and see me any time now that she's liberated. (Nora Ephron
& Susan Edmiston Interview, 1965)
