Humorous Quotations
Issue #96
June 06, 2004
Hi Friends,
"A boy's love comes from a full heart; a man's is
more often the result of a full stomach."
Although Jerome K Jerome is remembered most for his
classic "Three Men in a Boat (to Say nothing of the Dog)",
he wrote over 15 plays, lots of short stories, was a prolific
columnist, wrote tons of essays and even an autobiographical
novel. In fact, like Mark Twain he had something to say (and
mostly something humorous to say) on almost all subjects.
"Truth and fact are old-fashioned and out-of-date, my friends,
fit only for the dull and vulgar to live by."
"...sentiment is to women what fun is to us. They do not care
for our humor, surely it would be unfair to deny them their grief."

"...a state of savage fury against everybody and everything,
especially yourself, whom anatomical reasons alone
prevent your kicking."
